Post Google My Business : booster votre visibilité|

You can now enhance your business’s web presence using Google’s new Post feature. Previously available only to large companies, this function has recently been rolled out for anyone to use.

Google Post enables companies to publish messages, news or events directly onto Google Search, so that your visitors will see them as soon as they start searching for your company.

What does a Google Post look like?

Here’s an example: Universem is holding an event on 20 July on the success of video advertising. Using the Google Post feature, we can advertise our event directly on Google Search (via Google My Business: see the thumbnail on the right in the image below) and include a button where people can book a place.

And as you can see from the image below, the event’s visibility is even greater on mobile!

So how do you use Google Post?

The good news is that using Google Post couldn’t be simpler:

  1. Just go to your Google My Business account and then click on “Manage” for the relevant business. (https://business.google.com/) (https://www.google.be/intl/en/business/).
  2. In the menu on the left, click on “Posts” (see image below)
  3. Enter your text and add an image, if desired.

The length of your post should be 100-300 words. Also, you can easily turn your Google Posts into events by ticking “Make this post an event” and adding an event title and the date and time of your event.

Finally, Google also gives you the option of adding a call to action (“Add a button”) at the end of your post – for example, “Reserve”, “Sign up”, “Buy”, or “Get offer” – where you add the destination URL of your call to action.

  1. Click on “Preview”
  2. Do you like it? Then hit “Publish”!

In conclusion…

Google Posts are a great way to communicate with potential customers directly on Google search – for free.

They give your business a small visibility boost.
